Ann Leary Finnegan Scholarship
This scholarship was founded in honor of Ann Finnegan, an alumna of Marymount’s nursing program who passed away shortly after her graduation in 1984. According to her friends and family who have contributed significantly to the scholarship fund, Ann was a vivacious young woman full of desire to help others. This scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate nursing student, with a GPA less than 3.3, who demonstrates academic promise and financial need. Candidates must submit a short essay in which they recite a recent experience where he/she has touched the life of a sick or elderly person. Candidate must also submit a resume and two letters of recommendation either personal or from a nursing instructor. Candidates must exhibit Ann’s characteristics of leadership, compassion, and a contagious love of life.
