Daniel Mack Cornell Endowed Scholarship

Daniel Mack Cornell was an alumnus of Marymount. He graduated summa cum laude in 1994 with a major in Communications and a minor in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduation and after battling a long illness, Daniel passed away. In 1996 a log-time family friend, Dr. John P. (Jack) Newton, endowed this scholarship in Daniel’s honor. Scholarship recipients must have a minimum 3.4 GPA earned at Marymount or transferred from another institution, carrying at least nine (9) credits working toward full-time status, intention to pursue graduate studies and/or a career in communications or writing, U.S. citizenship, financial need is to be considered only in the case of a tie among applicants judged to be of equal merit, preference given to students majoring in Communications.
